Priscila Navarro, an FGCU junior piano performance major, made her Carnegie Hall debut on March 7 with a solo recital in the world-renowned concert venue.
A rising international piano talent, 18-year-old Navarro performed pieces by Bach, Chopin, Beethoven, Liszt and Gershwin. Her performance included two world premieres: Priscila Prelude by FGCU assistant professor of composition and music Jason Bahr, and Ceantu by Peruvian composer Jimmy Lopez.
This past summer, Navarro performed in the United States, South America, Italy, and Poland. At FGCU, she receives the Steinway Piano Society, Gomez, and Williams scholarships. Navarro studies with FGCU music professor and head of keyboard studies Michael Baron.
