Intro to Canoeing @ Estero River | Saturday, January 27

This trip offers the chance to meet new people, learn basic canoe skills, and experience Florida wilderness on the Estero River!

Course registration fee includes manual, dive tables, log book, certification card, use of a regulator, bouyancy compensator, tanks, pool usage, 4 check out dives (2 here on campus and 2 on the East Coast), and transportation to the East Coast for your check out dives.

Weekend Backpacking @ Florida Trail | Friday, February 9 - Sunday, February 11

Backpacking can be a fun for beginners or experienced hikers alike! On this trip you will meet new people and learn backcountry camping and backpacking skills on the Florida Trail in the Central Florida area.

On this trip, you will learn basic canoe and camping skills as we paddle down the beautiful Peace River. This trip is a great way to unplug, immerse yourself in Florida’s wilderness, and sleep under the stars!

Spring Break Backpacking in Alabama | Monday, March 5 - Friday, March 9

The waterfalls, streams, large rolling hills, and forest of the Cheaha Wilderness area is a beautiful place to unplug for Spring Break! We will be hiking in the backcountry for 3 days, carrying necessities on our back as we navigate through the wilderness. This trip is great for anyone looking to try something new, meet other FGCU students, and push their limits physically through changes in elevation.

Canoe and Snorkel @ Rainbow River | Saturday, April 7 - Sunday, April 8

Rainbow river’s clear blue waters make it a beautiful place for swimming, snorkeling, and canoeing! You’ll enjoy two days’ worth of canoeing and snorkeling, spending one night camping near the river. This trip is a great opportunity to see a very different, very beautiful side of Florida!
