Dr. Stephen Drew is Professor of Business Strategy at the Lutgert College of Business, Florida Gulf Coast University.
He is an experienced organizer and teacher of MBA and Executive MBA programs as well as consultant in the areas of strategy, leadership and organizational change. He has previously taught at leading Business Schools in the USA, Canada, U.K. and Europe including University of Washington, McMaster University, Henley Management College, and University of East Anglia. He has also been an Academic Dean and Director of Research at Schools in Switzerland and the UK. He has held visiting positions at several international universities including Copenhagen Business School and the Czech Management Center. His consulting and research interests presently focus on strategic-decision by boards of directors and leadership of change management. Prior to an academic career Stephen worked in management consulting, finance and strategic planning functions for several major corporations including Ernst & Young, Royal Dutch Shell and Bank of Montreal.
He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from Cambridge University. He has published numerous articles in journals such as Long Range Planning, European Management Journal, Business Horizons, Journal of Management Development and Journal of Bank Marketing. He regularly acts as reviewer for journals and the Academy of Management annual conference. His research interests include strategic decision making, corporate governance, risk management, management of change, and technology strategy.
