Member of LCOB Advisory Council
John Pollock is the Florida regional insurance president and a member of the executive committee of BB&T Insurance Services and an agency executive of BB&T-Oswald Trippe and Company which he joined after summer internships at OTC while attending Eckerd College. In 2002 , he rose to position of president. He has also studied at the Wharton School in Philadelphia and The Disney Institute.
John serves on the board of directors for Disabled Veterans Insurance Careers (DVIC), the United Way of Lee County, Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce and the Advisory Council for Florida Gulf Coast University’s Lutgert College of Business. He is also a member of the National Advisory Council of Eckerd College and the finance committee of Canterbury School.
John has held several leadership roles with United Way of Lee County, Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce, the South Gulf Coast Chapter of the Community Associations Institute, the Lee County Association of Insurance Agents and the Rotary Club of Fort Myers South. John was named “1995 Producer of the Year” by the Florida Association of Independent Insurance Agents and, in 2004, “The 25 Most Innovative Agents in America” by the National Alliance and Rough Notes magazine.
John lives in Fort Myers with his wife Kim and their family Paige, Mallory, and Bryson.
