Veronica Kalich, Ph. D., joined FGCU’s Lutgert College of Business as a Visiting Professor of Economics. Dr. Kalich has extensive teaching experience in economics and statistics. She comes from Baldwin Wallace University (BWU), where she held the rank of Professor of Economics and Chair of the Economics department. Dr. Kalich taught courses in economics, business statistics, and money, banking and financial markets, in the undergraduate program. She also taught economics, statistics and business forecasting in the graduate MBA and International MBA programs at BWU. Prior to teaching, she worked as an economic analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland and also in the private sector. Her research interests are in urban and regional economics. She has had articles published in the Journal of Urban Affairs and had been a recurrent contributor to the Cleveland press and media on labor market issues. Dr. Kalich earned her Ph.D. in Economic Development from the Levin College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University, and holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Cleveland State University.
