The University Colloquium is an upper-division course: students should have achieved junior status (60+ hours) before the semester begins. Only in exceptional cases are sophomore-level students permitted to register for the Colloquium.
The enrollment cap for each section is listed in Gulfline. Instructors are not permitted to allow additional students to register in their section after the class is full. Students who wish to register in a full section of Colloquium may wish to attend the first class meeting in the event that another student drops from that section in the drop/add period; however, they should understand that this is no guarantee of obtaining a space in that section.
Spaces in the online sections of the Colloquium are reserved for students who:
1) live outside of the university's five-county service region (Lee, Charlotte, Collier, Hendry, and Glades counties), or
2) are enrolled in a degree program that is offered entirely online
Students who meet one or both of these criteria should contact their Academic Advisor for registration in an online section of Colloquium.
