The Salvation Army is a nonprofit agency whose mission is to meet human needs-physical, emotional, and spiritual-without discrimination. We have a large 182-bed residential homeless shelter near downtown Fort Myers where we provide many different services to homeless and needy men, women, and children in our community. Some of the services we provide include several residential programs such as a Family Unit for homeless women and children, the Medical Respite unit and Healthcare for the Homeless Clinic, a large food services program serving 500-600 meals a day, and a food pantry that gives out emergency food baskets to those in need.

Job Description: Education: Adult G.E.D. preparation, tutoring, Life Skills classes, etc

Special Needs: On a case by case basis, some residential clients need additional help to become independent and self-sufficient

Translators - English/Spanish and English/Haitian translators are needed particularly during the Christmas preparation in October 16 through 21.

Computer/technology: Assist clients in the Computer Lab. Many clients need guidance to find the correct template for a resume while others may need help just turning the computer on, and still others may need to be monitored to ensure that they remain on approved websites.

Marketing/PR/Event planning: Help our Community Resources department to plan events, market to potential donors, and handle public relations and even Social Media.
