Meals on Wheels, a Program of Community Cooperative

Details: The Meals on Wheels program of Community Cooperative delivers meals five days per week to persons who are primarily homebound, are unable to prepare their own meals, or have no regular help with food preparation.

Over 300 customers receive meals each week on 28 routes throughout Lee County. Delivery is handled entirely by volunteers who use their own vehicles and fuel.
Job Description: Each route averages approximately 15 stops and takes an average of 2 hours to complete.

Volunteers are needed Monday through Friday between 9:00am and noon.

Opportunities include:
Daily drivers to cover one route each week, one day a week.
Backup drivers who are able to fill in on one or more routes when a regular driver is unavailable.
Drivers for daily drop-off of coolers at one or more of the five drop-off locations.

Background checks are conducted on any volunteer who will provide individual services to our customers.
