||The mission of Harry Chapin Food Bank ("HCFB") is "to lead our our community in the fight to end hunger." The vision is "No one in our community has to go hungry." HCFB distributes emergency food through 150 partner agencies in five counties of Southwest Florida (Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Glades and Hendry).
||Volunteers are needed to sort the food donated to the Food Bank for distribution to our partner agencies. It requires some lifting and bending. Sorting hours are Mon-Fri 9 to 11:30 am and 12:30 to 3 pm. Limited Saturdays 9 am to 12 noon.
Volunteers are needed to assist with food distribution at mobile pantries. Sites vary across Charlotte, Collier,Glades, Hendry and Lee counties. Times vary.
All volunteers must complete an application (https://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/ap?ap=1856870729) and schedule their volunteer time before volunteering. Background checks are conducted. Please allow at least 3 business days for processing.
