Office of the Registrar

Office of the Registrar

Students may register for class either via the web utilizing GULFLINE or in person at the Office of the Registrar.  The academic calendar lists the dates when registration opens.  To register over the web you will need your university identification number(UIN), and your personal identification number (PIN). To register in person you will need a photo ID.

On December 9th, 2014, FGCU started requiring all users of GULFLINE to change their PIN to a more secure password.  At the same time, FGCU will also ask everyone to update the security questions used to reset their PIN.

 The new GULFLINE password policy:

 - Increase the minimum length to 8 characters (max 20)

- Require both characters and numbers in the password

Lockout after 3 wrong attempts remains the same.  The student reset process will not work if you have been locked out.  Please enter your UIN and PIN carefully.

Points to Remember:

  • Holds and Restrictions. If you attempt to register and fail to do so because of a hold or restriction, you will have to contact the office where the hold originated or contact your advisor to assist with any course restrictions. Refer to the troubleshooting guide.

  • Late registration Fees will be assessed for registrations done on or after the first day of class.  These fees do not apply if the student has registered in at least one class for the semester prior to the first day that classes start.

  • Immunization. Proof of immunization is required before you will be able to register for classes. Visit 'Student Health Services' for detailed information regarding immunizations, such as types of immunization and the documentation required.

  • Complete Withdrawal. If you wish to completely withdraw from all of your classes for the current semester, complete the withdrawal form and submit it to the Registrar's Office.  If you are receiving any form of financial aid, please refer to the financial aid office for any effect on your financial aid.  Additionally, if you withdraw after the last day to withdraw without academic penalty you will receive a grade of 'WF'.
