 Our Mission

The Florida Gulf Coast University Testing Center is committed to providing testing services to students, faculty and the local community.

The guiding principle of the FGCU Testing Center is service with dedication to the Professional Standards and Guidelines for Post-Secondary Test in accordance with national practices and standards set by:

  • The National College Testing Association (NCTA)

  • The Florida Association of College Test Administrators (FACTA)

  • The Consortium of College Testing Centers (CCTC)

The student is our primary focus. We provide a user-friendly environment, while providing exam security to support academic integrity and confidentiality. With the instructional-based exams administered by the Testing Center, we strive to support and enhance a student’s formal education with a spirit that moves the student  toward a "Soar in Four" successful future.

What is new?

The Testing Center has a new Online Registration System!

Effective September 1, 2017 Testing Services charges a $10.00 fee for duplicate score request.  Request are processed in 2-3 days.

Important Information About Our Campus

We would like to remind you that FGCU is a smoke-free and tobacco-free campus.

Rules and Procedures

The following items are not permitted when taking a test in our lab:

  • Cell phones & other electronic devices

  • Sunglasses

  • Watches

  • Hats of any kind/skullcaps/or head covering of any kind except for religious purposes.

  • Handbags/backpacks/skateboards

  • Food including gum or candy

  • Water or other drinks

  • Scrap paper, pencils/pens/books

  • Calculators

Hoodies, jackets, or sweaters may be worn in the testing lab, but they may NOT be removed during testing.  Lockers are provided to store personal items, including jackets, while you are testing.

ADA accommodations

If you will be requesting ADA accommodations for your testing needs, please contact the Testing Center prior to completing any registrations for instructions on how to proceed, in order to determine reasonable accommodations the Testing Center can provide.
