What is ERSR (Eagles Rise For Sober Rides)?
Eagles Rise for Sober Rides (ERSR) is a program designed to increase the number of sober drivers among FGCU students and encourage this positive behavior by working with local bars and restaurants.
How does ERSR work?
Bars and restaurants participating in the ERSR program will provide FREE non-alcoholic drinks to the sober driver in a group of two or more. When your group arrives to an ERSR establishment, just let your server know who the sober driver* is—this person will receive an ERSR wristband so the wait staff knows to get you hooked up with FREE non-alcoholic drinks for the night!
Who are the ERSR establishments?
Gulf Coast Town Center: BJ’s Brewhouse, Keys Bar & Grill, World of Beer, Chili’s Grill & Bar, Miller’s Ale House, Famous Dave’s.
Coconut Point: The Brass Tap
Other: Twin Peaks, Rusty’s Raw Bar & Grill, Estero & Fort Myers
What is the goal?
The goal is to increase the number of sober drivers among FGCU students, and to promote, encourage, and incentivize this positive behavior so it becomes part of our campus culture. Being a sober driver is a great way to care about the safety of your friends and the community! Each time you serve as a sober driver, you play an active role in ensuring the well-being of those around you. This simple task can help prevent fatalities and other negative consequences of drinking and driving.
* A sober driver is someone who consumes absolutely no alcohol.
