Jenna Glynn | Program Assistant | Email: email@example.com
Jenna's hometown is Staten Island, NY. However, she was raised in Cape Coral, FL after the age of ten. She received a B.S. in Health Science from the University of Florida with a concentration in Public Health. While at the University of Florida, she worked within the Department of Emergency Management assisting with data management and planning emergency simulations for over a year. During her time with the department, she successfully collaborated with the National Weather Service to get the University of Florida awarded as a StormReady institution. She was also involved in the College of Public Health and Health Professions council and research endeavors. Her particular area of research assistance was working under the Rural South Public Health Training Center and the local health department regarding the usage of avatars for web-based HIV/AIDS education. She was also involved in a separate research project that was focused on qualitative analysis of public health workers' Twitter accounts. This project focused on identifying what officials are discussing the most within the community as well as if Twitter was being used as an appropriate resource for public health advocacy and education. Jenna is new to our department this year, but she looks forward to what she can accomplish while at FGCU. Her passion lies in mental health and wellness. Some of Jenna's hobbies include singing, learning the piano, and enjoying nature. A fun fact about Jenna is that she was a cast member in the musical Footloose during high school and has loved musical theatre ever since her experience!
