Jill Sherman, M.Ed. is the Director of the Hunter Institute of Early Childhood Learning, which was established at Florida Gulf Coast University in October of 2014. As Director, Jill promotes the mission of the Hunter Institute which is to engage College of Education students in meaningful, high-quality experiences regarding best practices in the field of early childhood education and to have the Hunter Institute serve as a resource to the community, parents, teachers and care-givers, as well concerning the growth, development and education of young children.

Some of the responsibilities of the Director of the Hunter Institute include:

  • Lead and maintain the Hunter Institute Advisory Board
  • Collaborate with members of the educational community regarding best practices for teachers, parents and care-givers of young children
  • Host an annual childhood growth and development conference
  • Coordinate the “Associate of the Hunter Institute” program

In addition to Jill’s work as Director of the Hunter Institute of Early Childhood Learning, Jill also serves as an Intern Supervisor and an Adjunct Instructor.
