Dr. Christopher M. Parfitt is the coordinator for program assessment for the College of Education at Florida Gulf Coast University. He is responsible for accreditation, continuous-improvement initiatives, and compliance aspects for the college. In addition to administrative responsibilities, Dr. Parfitt serves as an adjunct professor for educational leadership courses.

Chris is an alumnus of the College of Education, having completed his doctorate in 2017 and master’s degree in 2012; both in educational leadership. He also holds undergraduate degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and Seton Hill University. Prior to joining the college administrative staff, Dr. Parfitt served as school administrator, worked in school district human resources, and was a teacher for several years. He has authored or coauthored multiple scholarly conference presentations and peer-reviewed articles, and assisted Dr. Thomas Valesky with research and editing for his textbook Organizational Behavior in Education: Leadership and School Reform (11th Edition). Dr. Parfitt was elected to the executive board of the Southern Regional Council on Educational Administration in October 2017, will host the 2020 conference, and serve as president the following year.
