Foundations and Methods Observations

The College of Education has established PDS (Professional Development School) assignments for observations. These schools have agreed to host whole class sections for observations. The contact people at these schools have the class rosters for their assigned class in a spreadsheet. They will be checking their lists of names when students call for appointments. They will also keep a record of the teachers who were observed and they will verify students' attendance on their spreadsheets.

Students are encouraged to use the schools that have been assigned to their courses. Students will also use the spreadsheet (attached in the link) to keep track of their school visits, the teachers they observed, and dates. This spreadsheet has dropdown menus for courses. Students may update this spreadsheet and make it available as part of the information needed for admittance into internship.
If students choose to visit a school on their own, that is allowed. However, none of the schools assigned to other courses may be contacted.
