Professional Development Enhancement Award Funds Are Available until April 22!

The next and FINAL deadline for submission is Monday, April 22, 2019 for notification by Friday, May 10, 2019

The Office of the President, in collaboration with the UFF/FGCU Chapter and the FGCU Faculty Senate, is pleased to announce a new Professional Development Enhancement Award program for 2018.  All In-Unit faculty are eligible to submit applications for up to $1,000 professional development, broadly defined, that will further their own professional development as scholars or educators. Those eligible are permitted to apply and receive funds up to TWO times between January 2, 2018 and May 15, 2019. All information about the award and the entire application process is done in Canvas. All eligible faculty should be enrolled in a course called "Professional Development Enhancement Award," which is where you will find the application process.


Mission Statement

The purpose of faculty governance at Florida Gulf Coast University is to safeguard academic quality, promote effective and open communication, insist upon academic  integrity, emphasize rights and shared responsibilities of students, staff, community,  faculty, and administration, and sustain a dynamic learning environment. This mission is accomplished through a system of collegial faculty self-governance ensuring that the rights of faculty are supported and faculty responsibilities in fulfilling the mission of the university are properly executed.
