The Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education has mandated that all professional preparation Athletic Training programs must be at the master's level by 2022. The FGCU B.S.A.T. program is in the process of transitioning to the master's level. Consequently, it is anticipated that the class entering in fall 2018 will be the last entering class at the bachelor level. To be considered for this final B.S.A.T. class, students must submit an athletic training supplemental application by February 1st, 2018. The application deadline is February 1 of the year for entry into the program (if February 1 falls on a weekend, the deadline date will be the following Monday). Only COMPLETE applications will be accepted.

The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences/Athletic Training Program has a mandatory orientation that occurs usually the two days prior to the start of the entering semester classes. Additional information is sent out with program acceptance letters. Students that do not attend the mandatory orientation will not be accepted into the program.

If you are a newly-admitted FGCU student please be sure to sign up for an Eagle View Orientation session. As part of this session you will be meeting with an academic advisor who will assist you in registering for classes for your major.
The Athletic Training Program conducts a competitive admissions process for this major. All applicants who meet the minimum admission requirements listed below may not be admitted into the program. Application forms are available on the Athletic Training Program website. All application materials must be received by February 1st of the year in which entry is sought. Application materials received after February 1st will be considered on a space-available basis. Admission decisions are made based on materials and coursework completed at the time of the application.
