The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences and Marieb College were well represented at the 2018 FGCU Research Day by all of the scholarly poster presentations. A special congratulations to athletic training student Lizzy Dregne, who won the 1st place Dean's Award for Best Undergraduate Student Poster for her research titled, Torn ACL, MCL, Menisci, and Joint Capsule in College Football Player.
Students from Palmetto Ridge High School visited FGCU and stopped in the Athletic Training Lab to meet with Dr. Felton and some of the AT students.
The Athletic Training Program at Florida Gulf Coast University was well represented this weekend in Atlanta at the 33rd annual Southeast Athletic Trainers’ Association Annual Athletic Training Student Symposium.
The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences hosted a Rock Tape clinic on Fascial Movement Taping in late January. Thank you to all of those who attended!
Dr. Jason Craddock, athletic training students and alumni provided athletic training coverage at the Minnesota Twins fantasy camp in January.
The Athletic Training Program was well represented at the National Athletic Trainers' Association Convention in Houston, TX in June 2017. Several Athletic Training students displayed posters or presented at the event and a number of department faculty were also in attendance at the convention.
FGCU was well represented at the American College of Sports Medicince Annual meeting in Denver with presenters, Exercise is Medicine Gold Level Campus recognition, and having our own booth.

Physical Therapy Student, Tyler Golde, was awarded the title FGCU Marieb College of Health & Human Services Graduate Student of the Year. Dr. Edwin Myers was awarded the FGCU Junior Teaching Excellence Award. The Exercise is Medicine Team, led by Dr. Renee Jeffreys-Heil, received the FGCU Team Faculty Excellence Award. The team consists of 15 members from departments across campus.
