College Undergraduate Program Admissions

To better assist students interested in our Elaine Nicpon Marieb College of Health & Human Services undergraduate programs, we are pleased to provide the following information on admission into the majors. All undergraduate majors in the College have a Selective Admission Process; additionally, some of these majors (Athletic Training, Clinical Laboratory Science, and Nursing) are designated as Limited Access programs.

To better clarify the difference between a Selective Admissions Process and a Limited Access program, please be aware that:

A Selective Admissions Process is one where a student must meet certain selection criteria to be considered for progression into a full major and associated program courses.

In contrast, a Limited Access program is one where a student must meet certain selection criteria to be considered for admission as a full major, AND there is a limit to the number of students that can be accommodated in the program and associated courses. Therefore, in a Limited Access program some students who meet the selection criteria may not be admitted. Limited Access programs are very competitive.

All students are initially accepted into the University as pre-majors, AND after university admission, students must submit a second separate or “Supplemental Application” for admission consideration into the major of their choice by specific departmental deadlines.

Please visit the following Academic Units and Programs Admissions Information links below for the College Undergraduate Programs. The admission page includes information on deadlines, GPA requirements, and links to application details, and other requirements needed prior to application submission.
