Class Presentations


We would love to meet your class! 

We work with employers in different industries to gather the most accurate and up-to-date recruitment practices and employer preferences.  We can work with you to create a specialized presentation on the topic of your choice and, if appropriate, specifically tailored it to the major that you teach.   

Please call our office at 239-590-7946 to submit a presentation request.  We will need the following information from you: contact name, number and email, class name, date, time and length of presentation, location, and topic(s) requested.

Resume and Cover Letter Workshops - Our most popular presentation!  Let us come to you to share info on this essential piece of the job search process.  We can also briefly discuss thank you letters, prospecting letters or emails, reference lists, and LinkedIn profiles (60-75 minutes).   

Job Search 101- A crash course on the basics of the job search, this presentation covers resumes, cover letters, job hunting strategies, and professional attire. Presentation can be specialized to specific areas of study (requires at least 90 minutes - can be split up between 2 or more classes). 

Interviewing- All aspects of the employment interview process are covered, including commonly asked questions, researching employ­ers, interview etiquette, and salary negotiation (60-75 minutes).

Managing Your Image Online- In our technology driven society, “on­line image” is an extremely important part of the job search. Stu­dents will learn the best practices for professional email correspon­dence, social media, and personal websites (60-75 minutes).

Graduate School- This presentation takes the students through a step-by-step process to prepare them for the graduate school appli­cation process. Topics include writing personal statements, creating a resume/CV, and obtaining letters of recommendation (60-75 minutes).

Topic of Choice/ Speaker of Choice- Career Development will work with you to specialize a presentation or speaker on the topic of your choice.
