What is recruitment?

Recruitment is the process by which the Panhellenic Sororities open their doors to recruit interested women.

The primary recruitment period starts shortly before school begins in the fall and lasts for five days. For four exciting days, women, just like you, will have the opportunity to take a closer look at sorority life at the university.

Recruitment is a time to meet sorority members, discuss Fraternity and Sorority Life, and start new friendships. Through values-based conversations, you will have the opportunity to learn more about each Panhellenic sorority here on campus.

Recruitment is a period where you can have your questions about sorority life answered and decide if Fraternity and Sorority Life is right for you.

Mutual Selection process: Formal Recruitment is a mutual selection process that balances the preferences of each Potential New Member (PNM) with those of the sororities.

Academic Excellence: Because academic excellence is one of the key characteristics of sororities, women who have GPAs below each sorority’s requirements may be released from the recruitment process. Please keep that in mind as you decide whether you should apply for the recruitment process or not. Each chapter sets their own GPA requirements, which are included on the "Chapters" website.  Based on the chapters’ current requirements, potential new members are suggested to have a minimum of a 2.75 on a 4.0 scale from high school and/or 2.75 on a 4.0 scale from college.
