"Life Balance...Stress and Time Management" Workshop Offered by FGCU Florida Institute of Government
FORT MYERS, FL - Managers and employees from both the private and public sectors are invited to attend a one-day course “Life Balance…Stress and Time Management” presented by the Florida Institute of Government at Florida Gulf Coast University as part of the its Workforce Development Series from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 25. The course will be held at the Center for Professional Development at Edison Community College.
The workshop will help attendees to work smarter and decrease the negative impact of stress on life as job pressures and expectations increase, making it harder to balance time, stress level and productivity.
· Learn to identify sources of stress
· Learn how to “just say no” when appropriate
· Learn how to apply a problem-solving approach
· Learn how to successfully and appropriately vent frustration
· Learn techniques for managing and coping with unavoidable stress
· Learn how to balance personal and professional goals
Anne Schroeder is instructor for the program. She is president of Schroeder Management Consultants and is a management consultant and trainer providing consulting services and seminars to thousands of business and professional people every year. Anne has over 20 years experience in developing organizations and their personnel. Her firm provides strategic planning initiatives, customer service approaches, corporate retreats, performance appraisal systems, team building and customized seminars on a variety of topics. Anne has developed and conducted strategic planning initiatives for the executive levels of several national associations. She has a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, plus extensive training in organizational problem solving from the University of Buffalo and from Synectics, Inc. in Cambridge, Mass.
The central purpose of the Institute is to help promote superior performance in government and nonprofit organizations through quality training, consulting and technical assistance.
