Holistic Physician Discusses Options for Menopausal Women at Community Health Program April 30
FORT MYERS, FL - The public is invited to attend the community health program “Menopause and Natural Hormones” to explore the options available to women during the life-changing experience of menopause from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 30 in the Florida Gulf Coast University Whitaker Hall Sprint Room.
The program, sponsored by the FGCU Kleist Health Education Center, features holistic practitioner Daved Rosensweet, host and producer of the television show “Get Well: Stay Well” and a medical associate at the Perlmutter Health Center in Naples.
Discussion topics include personal hormone needs, bioidentical hormones and methods of testing hormone levels. The course will also teach the biology of menopause, treatment options, special risks related to organs, and the causes and treatments for osteoporosis.
Registration is $20 and Continuing Education Unit credit is available for nurses for an additional $10. Early registration is encouraged because space is limited.
The Kleist Health Education Center is under the College of Health Professions, which has fully accredited programs in each of its clinical discipline areas and prepares a competent health workforce for Southwest Florida.
