SBDC Presents Seminar for Small Businesses to Learn How to Export Their Products
FORT MYERS, FL - Small business owners interested in learning the basics about exporting are invited to attend “Introduction to Exporting” from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., on either Thursday, Sept. 5 or Friday, Sept. 6 in Collier and Lee counties respectively. Lunch is included both days.
The event will discuss what is required for a business to begin exporting and introduce valuable resources. The seminar will explore how exporting can:
· be the solution to expanding sales
· reduce dependence on one market
· utilize excess production capacity
· extend the life cycle of products
· eliminate seasonal fluctuations
· increase overall profits
Presenters include director of the Office of International Programs at the State Director’s Office of the Florida Small Business Development Center Network in Pensacola, Marcia Sergent; and director of Farris Customs Brokers, INC., Hal Wilmot.
Director of Latin America and Caribbean Trade Enterprise Florida Inc., John Macho; executive vice president of Royal Palm Bank, Arnold Haake; and director of the FGCU Small Business Development Center, Dan Regelski.
In Collier County on Thursday, Sept. 5, the seminar will be at The Career and Service Development Center at 750 S. Fifth St. in Immokalee.
In Lee County on Friday, Sept. 6, the seminar will be at the Port Authority Training Facility next to the Southwest Florida International Airport.
