Upcoming Contemporary Art Show Seeks Entries
FORT MYERS, FL - Artists are encouraged to enter works for “Frontiers: i2artContemporary 2003,” which will be hosted during the spring 2003 semester at Florida Gulf Coast University’s new Arts Complex art gallery.
Frontiers: i2artContemporary 2003 seeks unique and innovative art that addresses the frontier as a critical or dominant theme in the composition.
Frontiers may be real or implied as spaces, places, states of mind, states of the union or spirituality.
Particularly after the events of Sept. 11, 2001, the exhibit will portray how the artist imagines frontiers with their corresponding borders and overarching status within nations. Artists may interpret the versatile theme in any media and should generate, produce or have their work inspired in relation to frontier mentalities.
Director of the Rubell Family Collection Mark Coetzee is juror for the show.
For an entry form and prospectus, artists should send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: i2art, P.O. Box 112139, Naples, FL, 34108, or apply online at www.i2art.com. The deadline to enter is Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, and the entry fee is $35 for up to three slides.
