"The Psychology of Winning with People" Workshop Offered by FGCU Florida Institute of Government

FORT MYERS, FL - Managers and employees from both the private and public sectors are invited to attend a half-day course “The Psychology of Winning With People” presented by the Florida Institute of Government at Florida Gulf Coast University as part of the its Professional Development Series from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 20 in the Broadcast Building Room 111.

The interactive seminar presents one of the basic principles of thought and behavior, shared by great men and women that guides great achievers to the top in every field. An actual lesson on the principle of winning will be conducted.


     Evaluate self-management skills

     Increase self-image skills

     Identify and apply self-esteem skills

     Practice effective communication skills

     Understand how to use these tools to develop more effective relationships

David Jaffee is instructor for the program. He has been a part of higher education in Southwest Florida since 1998 at Florida Gulf Coast University and Edison Community College. For 20 years, he worked with children and adults to premeditate speech, voice and language disorders as a speech and language pathologist. A recent semifinalist for the Adjunct Faculty Teaching Excellence Award, Jaffee is committed to developing, improving and maximizing learner potential through the application of effective listening, speaking, writing and non-verbal skills.

The central purpose of the Institute is to help promote superior performance in government and nonprofit organizations through quality training, consulting and technical assistance.
