SBDC Offers "The Entrepreneur's Law School" Oct. 9 in Naples

FORT MYERS, FL - The Florida Gulf Coast University Small Business Development Center encourages business owners to reserve space now to attend "The Entrepreneur's Law School" 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 9 at the Double Tree Hotel in north Naples to explore legal issues that have impact on their businesses.

Attendees have the opportunity to speak with attorneys about legal issues that are important to the successful management of a small business.

Now in its sixth year, the FGCU SBDC developed The Entrepreneur's Law School to benefit local business owners. This year, the School is sponsored by Schumann Law Group and co-sponsored by The Creative Financial Group.

FGCU legal studies program coordinator Bob Diotalevi delivers the luncheon keynote address "The First Thing We Do, Let's Kill All the Lawyers."

Presenters and topics include: Laura Barrow, Hahn, Loeser & Parks, "Basic Patent and Trademark Law for the Entrepreneur"; Richard Barone, The Creative Financial Group, "Small Business Retirement Planning: High Tech;" Henry C. Cohen, Cohen&grigsby, "How to Determine That Your Legal Form is Best for You;" and Bob Diotalevi, FGCU, "Teaching Old Dogs New Clicks: Copyrighting Cyberspace."

Jeff Folkman, Hahn, Loeser & Parks, LLP, "Exit Strategies: How to Leave the Business and Have Money in the Bank;" Edward W. (Ned) Hale, Schumann Law Group, "How to Win Your Small Business Claims Lawsuit;" Sharon Hanlon, Zelman and Hanlon, "Personal Injury: At Work, At Home;" and Larry Lebowitz, cohen&grigsby, "Immigration Law for Small Business: A 'Must Know' Primer."

Full day tuition is $75 pre-registered and $95 paid at the door. Tuition for either morning or afternoon sessions is $55 pre-registered and $75 paid at the door. All registrations include lunch.
