Lutgert College of Business Signs Student Exchange Agreement with Audencia Nantes School of Management in France

FORT MYERS, FL - The Lutgert College of Business at Florida Gulf Coast University and the Audencia Nantes School of Management in France recently signed an exchange agreement that provides student participants from both countries with the opportunity to study and benefit from the academic and cultural environment of the other.

Ranked by The Times newspaper in London as one of the best business schools in Europe, Audencia is one of the few elite international business schools that is accredited by the three leading accrediting bodies.

Awarded by the European Foundation for Management Development, the European Quality Improvement System, or EQUIS, accreditation is the European standard of excellence for business schools.

Internationally, Audencia holds accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, or AACSB, and the Association of MBAs.

As a further measure of quality, Audencia admits only 350 out of 4,000 applicants and offers graduate business programs that include specially developed, high-level executive programs.

In the late 1970s, Audencia recognized the importance of internationalizing its curriculum and was the first university in France to require students to spend a semester abroad studying business.

Audencia now has 68 signed agreements in more than 30 countries in North, South and Central America, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

FGCU joins several other American universities that have signed agreements with Audencia, including Ohio State University, The University of Washington and Georgia State University.

FGCU provost and vice president for Academic Affairs Bonnie Yegidis, and dean of the Lutgert College of Business Richard Pegnetter traveled to Paris to sign the agreement with Audencia director and dean Jean-Pierre Helfer.

For more information, media representatives should contact Pegnetter at (239) 590-7301.
