Seating Available for General Colin Powell Simulcast in Punta Gorda

FORT MYERS, FL - About 600 tickets remain available free to the public for the simulcast at The Center for Performing Arts and Education in Punta Gorda of General Colin Powell's lecture at 6 p.m., Friday, March 23 in Alico Arena at Florida Gulf Coast University.

Ticket orders are not available via telephone or Internet. Tickets are available in person at The Center for Performing Arts and Education box office from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday at 701 Carmalita Street in Punta Gorda. For additional ticket information, contact (941) 505-7469.

The University posts updated information on the University Lecture Series web site,, as it becomes available.

General Powell is the third speaker in FGCU's distinguished University Lecture Series. His message, "Diplomacy: Persuasion, Trust and Values," focuses on global perspective and provides a foundation for global initiatives and global thinking from within the United States.

The University Lecture Series is an initiative of the Office of the Provost and is coordinated by the University Lecture Series Committee. The FGCU University Lecture Series expands the world of ideas and creative expression for students and the broader community. By inviting distinguished speakers of national and international acclaim to visit campus and speak on topics that inspire and stimulate dialogue among the community, the University Lecture Series advances the University's mission to serve as the intellectual and cultural center of Southwest Florida.
