Ft. Myers Toyota Supports FGCU's Environmental Mission; Donates Hybrid

FORT MYERS, FL - Ft. Myers Toyota dealership supports Florida Gulf Coast University's mission to keep the environment green. The dealership donated a 2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid in response to FGCU's third president, Dr. Wilson G. Bradshaw's commitment to keep the environment clean. The vehicle will be used for the President's transportation needs.

"Ft. Myers Toyota is extremely proud to support Dr. Bradshaw and FGCU for their commitment to our environment, and the overall green movement," said general manager John Marazzi. "We're honored to provide him the latest advancement of hybrid technology, the 2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid."

According to Consumer Reports, the Toyota Highlander Hybrid is a new wave of hybrid vehicles that use their gas/electric powertrain to boost engine performance as well as fuel economy. The result is significantly quicker acceleration coupled with cleaner emissions and a moderate increase in gas mileage compared with conventional versions. This particular model was rated excellent by Consumer Reports for overall blend of performance, fuel economy and comfort.

"The University is pleased to accept Ft.Myers Toyota's generous gift of the 2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid," said vice president for Advancement Steve Magiera. "This gift facilitates a busy community schedule while generating less of an environmental impact, a special attraction that supports a major tenet of the FGCU mission, environmental sustainability."
